The logistics industry is a complex ecosystem with many different types of companies and organizations working together to achieve a common mission: the secure, efficient, cost effective, and reliable movement of products and goods from point-A to point-B.

The Center of Innovation for Logistics works with all elements of this network and provides a range of services, tools, and expertise. We divide the industry into two broad groups: Logistics Providers and Logistics Consumers.

Services for Logistics Providers         

Logistics Providers provide a logistics related service or product as the core offering of their business. This ranges from core functions including all modes of transportation and warehousing, to critical services offered from 3PL’s, brokers, forwarders, and the technology community; to the support provided by consultants, and industry associations.

Services for Logistics Consumers and Logistics Enabled Companies

Logistics Consumers range in scale from multinational corporations and Fortune 100 enterprises, to small business owners and individual entrepreneurs. Regardless of size, their current operations, future growth and relative competitiveness are all enabled by logistics in some significant way. Logistics consumers are traditionally the owners of the products/goods to be moved and are the customer base for the logistics providers described above.
